The links below are to a number of different articles that I believe are beneficial for study. This does not mean I endorse them, or their authors, completely; nor do I agree with or share their views on all issues. These are provided only for the purpose of personal study. Nevertheless I have taken care to verify the information provided for myself, and recommend you do the same.
The Messiah's Name - by Adam C. Drissel
By far the most scholarly article I have ever encountered on the subject of the Messiah's Name, that was written for non-scholars. I have personally read through dozens of "studies" compiled by Armchair Theologians and Pseudo-scholars, and am very seldom impressed. Far too often today many Torah Observant believers are getting caught up in the false scholarship (aka sensationalism) that is popping up all over the Internet. Anyone with Internet access and free time can start a blog now (guilty!). But unfortunately there are so many claiming to offer teachings of Hebrew and its "true meaning" and yet they, themselves, can neither read nor write it.
In Mr. Drissel's article here, he doesn't simply take a verse or two in English and claim to be able to fully explain an "ancient Hebrew secret." Rather, he uses multiple pieces of evidence from multiple languages, and utilizes the grammatical rules of those languages, to explain why the Name of Messiah is what it is. A must-read for all believers.

The Pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton: Piecing Together the Evidence - by Adam C. Drissel
As with the above article regarding the Name of Messiah, Mr. Drissel's article on the Name of the Almighty is just as good, if not better. Again, he approaches the issue not by theology, but by strict grammar and linguistic analysis. Using multiple witnesses of everything from the Samaritan people to the Talmud to the early Church Fathers to, of course, the grammar of the Hebrew language, he lays out the evidence. A scholarly explanation that both scholar and laymen alike can follow and learn from.
